Premiere – Concerto for Panflute and large Orchestra

The Concerto for Panflute and Orchestra commissioned by the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz in German was premiered with great success in four concerts by the Swiss panflute player Urban Frey and conducted by the Finnish conductor Ari Rasilainen. It is one of the very few Concertos for panflute. The three-movement work refers to the archaic origin of the instrument as well as the myths surrounding Pan.
