«Alpine Suite» for the Duo Calva

The duo Calva (Alain Schudel, Daniel Schaerer, cellos), known for his humorous programs like «The Magic Flute» will start a tour with the «Alpine Suite» for cello duo and string orchestra in spring 2010. The «Alpine Suite» is playful music with references to Swiss folk music. It is tailored to the duo Calva, and will be premiered on 2 May accompanied by «Kammerorchester65» and under the direction of Alexandre Clerc. The commission was supported by the «Kuratorium» of Canton Aargau.
